Regular school attendance is essential for student learning, wellbeing, and long-term success. Every day at school provides valuable opportunities to develop knowledge, build friendships, strengthen social skills, and participate in the life of our school community.

Our school supports the Queensland Government's Every Day Counts initiative, which promotes the importance of regular attendance and shared responsibility for ensuring every student has the opportunity to achieve their full potential. The initiative highlights that:

• ​All children should be enrolled at school and attend every school day
  

• schools should monitor attendance, communicate with families, and implement strategies to support regular attendance
• unexplained absences and truanting can place students in unsafe situations and impact future opportunities
• attendance at school is a responsibility shared by students, families, schools, and the wider community
